HIKING 5 KILOMETER. Muterin satu puncak. Bukan villa lagi. PUNCAK. gak sih, saya lebay. pokoknya 5 kilometer man. Udah capek banget. Mana kalah... Tapi ya. Ngga papa lah.
Mana si armaan smsan mulu... Ckckck. But it was all worth the energy ;)

whats up chics and ducks? im posting from my mozilla browser. my safari seems too much wildish and too much of animals in there so it wont work so good like it was (or never) before. oh wait, i wasnt talking about the Safari Zoo in Bogor right? oh i dont really know hiihii..

whats up w batik day? and why? so here's some explanation i got from a web:
United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has officially recognized batik as an Indonesian cultural treasure, Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare Aburizal Bakrie said on Monday.

Indonesians have been asked to wear batik on Oct. 2, following UNESCO’s decision to add the traditional dyeing technique to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

The listing, which will give the age-old batik tradition some degree of protection under the UNESCO charter, will be made official at an event in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, between Sep. 28 and
Oct. 2.

To acknowledge the listing, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has asked all Indonesians to wear batik.

“Batik is regarded as a cultural icon with its own uniqueness. It contains symbols and a deep philosophy of the human life cycle — and it was submitted by Indonesia as a non-material element of cultural heritage,” Coordinating Minister for the People’s Welfare Aburizal Bakrie told a press conference at Bogor Presidential Palace on Monday.

“We’ve been told that batik has been recognized as an element of global cultural heritage produced by Indonesians. The President has called on all Indonesians to wear batik on Oct. 2, to celebrate batik.”

Batik is a wax-resistant dyeing technique used on textiles. Due to modern advances in the textile industry, the term is also used for fabrics incorporating traditional batik patterns that are not necessarily produced using traditional batik techniques.

In the past, Indonesians, mostly adults, wear batik only at formal events. Nowadays it has become increasingly popular even among the younger generation with batik factories starting to manufacture more wearer-friendly and fashionable batik outfits.

Many office workers now wear batik on a daily basis, while local designers compete to produce more attractive designs.

While batik originated in Javanese courts, several other regions in Indonesia also have their own styles of batik. The fabric is also widely worn in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Aburizal explained that the jury team from UNESCO, before declaring batik an element of global cultural heritage, had inquired about the origins of Indonesian batik, on the government’s protection of it and to what extent batik was a part of local community life.

Meanwhile, Culture and Tourism Minister Jero Wacik said that in 2003, the UN body named wayang (Indonesia’s traditional shadow puppets) and keris (traditional wavy blades) as elements of non-material cultural heritage.

“And now we are submitting angklung (traditional musical instrument made of bamboo) as an element of global cultural heritage from Indonesia,” Jero said.

“We will keep fighting for our heritage one tradition at a time.”

Lebaran summary

kay. lebaran holidays.
its surprisingly the best holiday (so far) this year.
well, for some reasons it is!

like.. being free for the whole week.
being officially alone (parents off to other country for vacation, my bigger sister is in studying in China and my little sister is sleeping over in my aunty's house)
i can do whatever i want.
i have no chores to do. my maid is not going home, she prefers not to.
its better, than the 2-months holiday i had in June-July 2009.
its totally like heaven. difference is, i felt lonely sometimes, and things dont quite go well as expected.

and yeah. living in my room is like living in a personal house, my very own.
i get to lock it (hahaha) and i can do whatever i feel like. duh.
the whole week ive been keluyuran and roaming around like crazeh.

on saturday, 19th of sep:
my parents are off to somewhere in the world for another honeymoon, i think. so i decided just to stay at home and not to go to places thou yudi's in town that time and we'd (angel and mua) love to meet him at GI. he's in love with Dairy Queen. haha.

and my moms friend which is banci is staying at home, but i have no idea why.
its not like im sex-discriminating her. but i just dont really like her.
i love kak ivan. people say he's banci. but i loveeeeeeeeeee him. mucho hearto for u :)
but not for that tante. she even scolded Mbak Ani for no specific reason. i'll tell u why.

on 20th of sep:
its sunday. i even forgot what did i do. oh wait, i went to Emily's house to pick her up, then off to Emporium Pluit.. i think.. and btw, on saturday Michelle left already for the sleepover.
uh-um.

21th of sep:
monday, its peace-one-day day and im off to pick emily again.
went to GrandIndonesia. nothing too fancy. went windows shopping at forever21.
got bored, then off to Sency.
hugeeeeee probability of meeting Kak Ivan Gunawan :) but didnt get to see him
we saw wilson instead haha with his family, of course. ate yogurts.

22th of sep:
tuesday and I THINK i went to mangdu with emily.
hahaha :D and i think si 'tante' udah mulai kesel with my absence in house.

totally going nowhere. its a plain wedneday, u say.

Grand Indo with Felicia & Fransisca. Met Emily and Vivian few mins before leaving the mall.
Bought a woven top from Forever21. Discounted stuff. I love discount. hahha.

26th of Sep..which is TODAY. and today is Saturday:
went nowhere. planned to go to Ancient Town near Fransisca's at around 1 or 12pm. but she told me it wud be an extreme danger if i went there by myself. too much strangers.
but id loveeeeeeeee to take pics there. uh. i think mission cancelled at the moment.

Honey itu anjing pertama gw, Golden Retriever. Meninggal tgl 18 Jan 2008. Gw beli 6 hari sebelum meninggal. And dont blame me. Blame my sister(s) for buying the dog by the jakartans unhygenic streets. I said no. But they say gak ada bedanya. Dan fyi, mereka pergi2 terus keluar2 rumah dan gua SELALU ada dirumah jagain anjingnya dan bersihin pup dan kencingnya. Aduh kok jadi marah2 gw. Maaf kebawa emosi abis ntn Marley and Me.HEHEHE.

ngelihat hidup Jenny & John. Kayaknya mereka bahagia banget. Kapan ya gw bs punya keluarga yang bahagia kaya mereka. 2 adults, 3 kids, and 1 dog. All happy. Pas ngeliat Jenny & John lagi 'at its moment' sengsara dan super exhausted with life, menurut gw itu normal bgt. Pasti setiap rumah tangga ngerasain yang namanya itu. Maybe that answers the question why do we need a partner in life.

sometimes a relationship could be pretty confusing.

especially here, in Indonesia.
Like. U had a friend of opposite sex. U go out with him/her just for a walk.
Then u came back and everyone started making fun of you with him/her, as if u had something with him/her. And that is very, very, very odd and yet.. norak

not only for a walk. maybe some technology communication like chatting or facebooking or things like that. woo, weird. they make notfunny gossips.

soooooooooooo. i got dressed up (using my sis' cardi, sorry hehe gua kan gapunya baju ceh) and went straight to em's house at 1 pm. we're goin to GrandIndonesia. Checked out Forever21 but bammmm its not the sale season so we didnt buy anything. Chatted with Wilson (via BBM) and he said he's going to Senayan City. So hey, the roads are clear and there's a HUGE PROBABILITY that Ivan Gunawan (imma hugeeeeeeeeee fan <3)>

so, went to Zara and all that and yuhuuuuuuu we catched a Taxi (blue bird, obvious) and went straight to Senayan City. I love when it is Lebaran. Roads are so...lebar and broad. uhuy. Paid 25thousand for the 15mins ride and totally entered the mall. Emily was craving for sour sally (i have no idea she loves the PLAIN NO TOPPING THINGY, its um..plain..) so we decided to buy sour sally, thou i want tutti frutti but im afraid i might lose control and pick too much.

So Emily and I walk through the crowded lobby and didnt saw Wilson there. Hm, maybe he left the place already. Saw Tutti Frutti but it was crowded, as people are ordered to wait in the queue line. not fascinating. i hate queuing, but i love the yogurt :9

twas fun, only the two of us.

Actually our main plan was to shop at Mangga Dua, but unfortunately heard news that it's closed for today, because its Eid Mubarak day here. So Muslims tend to visit their family homes.Like Chinese New Year- difference is Chinese get to visit family houses.

So! We went to Emporium Pluit Mall! jeng jeng jeng jeng!
which makes the route: my house-> emily's -> empopluit -> emily's ->my house
Actually i really wanna go to GrandIndonesia/PlazaIndonesia. But we said that we're going to Mangdu. So i was really skrewed with only shirt and pants. jadi gtudeh.
Went to Em's house by Taxi, to pick her up. Then straight to Emporium Pluit.
Paid 75000 for it plus toll expense of 5500= 80,000
then, em said she wants to try Tutti Frutti but it seems that her love for Sour Sally's irreplaceable. Her yogurt: Plain LARGE with NO TOPPING.
that's her fave. i mean, why NO topping? she's like having an ice cream :P
then, we did some window shopping then off for TIMEZONE!
its been a while since i went there
and then off to SUSHI TEI! sushi, always my all-time favorite type of food :9

then off to home. cuz em gotta go. so yup. more eating haha
heading home, paid 71500 for taxi. insane.
hmmm i think thats better. let's try with busway next time (y).

hey! finally gue inget mau tulis apa. Inget gak gue bilang gue mau kasih tau sesuatu tapi unfortunately gue lupa terus ngepost di blog. Maybe this is the right moment. (yeah right, 'moment' lmao)

i kept on thinking bout this fact.
that people do change, as the time goes by.
by their outerlook, their inner look.
its like living in a different dimension.
i know, odd. i thought i do stay constant.
but then, hey, i changed too. a lot.

i do have a lot of friends in year 2007 like so close to them. even i got a surprise bday party from everyone i know @ my grade, even gifts. its weird.
but i was a crap to my family (i think)

in 2008, i dont know why but i dont have a friend. well i do have bestfriends. a few.
and i didnt even notice. weird eh? and i had my best ideal weight. but at the end of year 2008, i gain so much pounds. and i dont even got any birthday wishes/gifts. puberty is like a mystery to me. dont get it. really. and its even weirder that i posted this thing on internet- everyone could possibly read it in a bite. he.

2009- which is this year. i would like to fix all my mistakes. fix all the broken parts. HEY THIS IS ODD! and yes, i wanna be THAT close again with my family. be smart. be excellent. be close to all my buds. ganbate ne! jia you! ya fight! intinya itulah yang bersuara 'semangat'

yes and i noticed all of my friends i knew since a year or two.
the girls- they had changed a lot. their look. i noticed major of them wearing lenses- instead of specs. with cute eyeliner, good outfits, heels, skirts. its odd. truly. its like i've been sleeping for the whole year. i know, i cant stop saying the word 'weird'

the boys- they grew up (well not so much, but they did at least). walaupun masih banyak di angkatan gue yang masih maen PSP & Game online kalo class party, but they did grew up. they had girlfriends (well, not 'they' but a few) and their sissy voices somehow revolved/evolved/or wtv 'volve' turned so deep. and warm. i dont know.

Then we stepped out of our cars and then get into Mall Mangga Dua. Theeeeen, Kenny said he was hungry. Fransisca was too (Everytime, eh?) So, we decided to eat A&W! Yeah, we did. Yummy? dont think so i was only scooping sundaes ice-cream into ma mouth. Hey it costs 5000 rupiahs tho!! Its like only 50 cents HA! :D

michelle off to canada today, for CISV Village 2009 in Waterloo, Canada. She's so lucky! Hoping her to have a fun and safe trip! in 2 days, my sister Febry is going to Bali with her peeps! Ahhh! I wanna have some fun too! Please? My mom offered me to go to Bali, just the two of us. Tapi kayanya ga jadi. Ya gitu lah. Pusinggggggg.

Today i went to Senayan City and... i met...SHEZA IDRIS! She was just righttttttttttttttttttt infront of me!! I saw her in Zara, she was trying shoes and she saw me! I was like,"looks familiar" and then i was like,"oh gosh! SHEZA IDRIS!" i know i'm super norak but i hardly go to the malls. duh. tadinya mau minta tanda tangan and pics, but i know being a celebrity itu pasti ga enak kalo diganggu privacynya gitu gitu lah. ha ha ha.

eh iya, rasanya gw bener-bener mau buang nih kcamata. abisnya jelek banget gw pake kcamata. tho wearing none makes no difference. tp tetep aja lah. hahaha. btw, liburan tinggal 2 minggu and gue belom dapet 'feel'nya liburan. keluar rumah susah banget. it's like living in prison. mom's working blablabla. yauda lah kayanya gue tinggal sabar aja. maybe this is called the 'challenge' from Above. he he. see ya later, i love you people.
